This project was for a secondary company of NG MEDIA, a Scandinavian production company operating across Europe. The existing website did not align with their desired image, so we embarked on a comprehensive redesign.

Process

Competitive Analysis and Benchmarking

To start, we researched the competition and similar companies in Denmark. Most competitor sites were simple and informative. This research provided a foundation for our redesign strategy, ensuring we included essential features to remain competitive

Ideation & Conceptualisation

Given creative freedom, I brainstormed ideas to differentiate our site. We focused on essential features found in competitor sites and explored various color palettes. The process was collaborative, involving the professional videographers on our team, leading to a unique and agreed-upon color scheme.

Sketching & Prototyping

We created multiple sketches and developed low-fidelity prototypes. Through internal testing within the company, we gathered valuable insights from team members who were unfamiliar with the new company. Their feedback was crucial, as many were freelancers and potential users of the site.

User Testing and Feedback

We conducted internal testing to simulate external user feedback. This phase allowed us to refine the design based on real-world usability and industry-specific insights. The internal testers provided perspectives akin to those of actual users in the field.

Prototyping & Development

After finalizing the low-fidelity prototype, we made necessary modifications and developed a high-fidelity prototype for presentation. Following approval, we proceeded with the website development, ensuring the final product met all specified requirements and expectations.

Outcome

The redesigned website for NG MEDIA's secondary company successfully met all project goals, resulting in a modern, user-friendly digital presence that accurately reflects the company's brand. Through comprehensive research, ideation, and prototyping, we developed an intuitive and engaging website. The chosen color palette and design elements aligned with the company's vision, creating a cohesive visual identity. Internal testing led to iterative improvements, enhancing usability and functionality.
