Adeje Copenhagen

Overview

I redesigned the website for Adeje, a vintage shop in Copenhagen, to better reflect their brand and enhance user experience. While their website colors match their brand style, the overall design is outdated and not modern enough for their target audience. — I believe that the proposed new design better suits their brand, supported by legitimate feedback.

Process

User Research & Discovery

Using the Double Diamond method, we targeted Adeje’s customers (18-35 years old) with interviews and questionnaires to gather insights.

User Needs & Business Goals

Key elements included store hours, webshop traffic, mission, consistent color palette, and logo usage.

Structuring Information

We created a clear layout:

  • Landing Section: Store details, design showcase, shop description, and CTA.
  • Mission & Background: Detailed mission and history.
  • Follow Adeje & Footer: Social media links, form, and policies

Sketching & Prototyping

Addressed scattered content and readability issues with a two-column grid layout for easy navigation.

User Testing & Refinement

Conducted preference, 5-second, and first-click tests. Users preferred Prototype B, identified site purpose quickly, and successfully completed key tasks.

High-Fidelity Prototyping & Final Development

Refined based on feedback, developed high-fidelity prototypes, and built the final site.

Outcome

The redesigned website improved user experience, effectively communicated Adeje's mission, and provided a cohesive and engaging digital identity.
